The Resort Municipality of Whistler is grateful to be on the shared, unceded territory of the Líl̓wat People, known in their language as Lil̓wat7úl, and the Squamish People, known in their language as Sḵwx̱wú7mesh.   • That Council adopt the Regular Council Meeting agenda of May 14, 2024.

  • That Council adopt the Regular Council Meeting minutes of April 23, 2024.

  • That Council approve the issuance of Development Variance Permit DVP01243, attached as Appendix A to Administrative Report No. 24-045, to vary the front building setbacks for a detached dwelling and attached garage and hard surface coverage requirements within the front setback, with the exception of the non-staff-supported variance items 3.b) and 3.c) side setback variances; subject to architectural plan revisions detailing compliant side setbacks for the proposed building additions to the satisfaction of the General Manager of Climate Action, Planning and Development Services.

  • That Council consider giving first, second and third readings to the “Municipal Ticket Information System Implementation Amendment Bylaw (Tourist Accommodation Fine Amounts) No. 2427, 2024”.

  • That Council award the Solid Waste Facility Operations Contract to Green For Life Environmental Inc. as a five-year agreement per the unit rates identified in the Budget Section of Administrative Report No. 24-047.

  • That Council endorse the Canada Day Village Festival concept for the 2024 celebrations as described in Administrative Report No. 24-048.

  • That Council consider giving first, second and third reading to “Zoning Amendment Bylaw (Small-Scale Multi-Unit Housing) No. 2440, 2024” (SSMUH Bylaw); and

    That Council authorize staff, subject to adoption of SSMUH Bylaw, to provide written notice to the Minister of Housing of adoption of SSMUH Bylaw and pursuant to Section 481.4 of the Local Government Act, identify the locations of any exempted lands and the legislative provisions supporting the exemptions.

  • That Council of the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) in open meeting assembled, hereby resolve that the RMOW, as the sole shareholder of Whistler Village Land Co. (WVLC) pass the consent resolutions of WVLC, attached as Appendix A to Administrative Report No. 24-050, and that the consent resolutions be executed and delivered on behalf of the RMOW.

  • That Council of the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) in open meeting assembled, hereby resolve that the RMOW, as the sole shareholder of Whistler 2020 Development Corp. pass the Shareholder’s Resolutions attached as Appendix A to Administrative Report No. 24-051, and that the Shareholder’s Resolutions be executed by the corporate signatories on behalf of the RMOW.

  • That Council receive the Regular Meeting minutes of the Emergency Planning Committee of February 13, 2024.

  • That Council give "Municipal Ticket Information System Implementation Amendment Bylaw (Tourist Accommodation Fine Amounts) No. 2427, 2024" first, second and third readings.

  • That Council give "Zoning Amendment Bylaw (Small Scale Multi-Unit Housing) No. 2440, 2024" first, second and third readings.

  • That Council adopt “Water User Fee and Regulation Amendment Bylaw (2024 Rates) No. 2444, 2024”.

  • That Council adopt “Sewer User Fee Amendment Bylaw (2024 Rates) No. 2445, 2024”.

  • That Council adopt “Solid Waste Amendment Bylaw (2024 Rates) No. 2446, 2024”.

  • That Council adopt “Zoning Amendment Bylaw (1000 Alpha Lake Road) No. 2436, 2024”.

  • That Council amend the Acting Mayor schedule to remove Councillor Jen Ford as Acting Mayor for the months of July and August 2024 and appoint Councillor Cathy Jewett as Acting Mayor for the month of July 2024, and Councillor Ralph Forsyth as Acting Mayor for the month of August 2024.

  • That Council, pursuant to Bylaw 2.3 of the 2010 Games Operating Trust Society (Society), on behalf of the Canadian Olympic Committee, hereby nominates Carlee Price, Chief Financial Officer for the Resort Municipality of Whistler, to serve as a member of the Society until the conclusion of the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Society or until such nomination is revoked, whichever is earlier.
