The Resort Municipality of Whistler is grateful to be on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil’wat People, known in their language as Lil̓wat7úl, and the Squamish People, known in their language as Sḵwx̱wú7mesh.   • That Council adopt the Regular Council Meeting agenda of September 21, 2021.

  • That Council adopt the Regular Council Meeting minutes of September 7, 2021.

  • That Council receive Information Report No. 21-104 Quarterly Financial Report for the quarter ended June 30, 2021.

  • That Council receive the “Whistler 2021 Transit Future Action Plan, Draft September 14, 2021” attached as Appendix A to this Administrative Report 21-105 for information; and

    That Council direct staff to circulate the “Whistler 2021 Transit Future Action Plan, Draft September 14, 2021” attached as Appendix A to this Administrative Report 21-105, to stakeholders for review and to return to Council with the final recommendations including updated five year municipal budget implications; and further,

    That Council authorize the execution of the first year of the Three-Year Whistler Transit System Expansion Plan – 2022/23 - 2024/25 memorandum of understanding between BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, attached as Appendix B to this Administrative Report 21-105 and that staff return to Council with budget implications of the second and third year changes for consideration with the final Whistler 2021 Transit Future Action Plan.

  • That Council direct staff to collaborate with the District of Squamish and the Community Energy Association on the development of an embodied carbon guide for BC Municipalities – based on research and policies developed for the Resort Municipality of Whistler and the District of Squamish – as part of the Game-Changer Grant Program.

  • That Council endorse the RMOW’s application for the BC Hydro Beautification Grant; and
     
    That Council offer a formal expression of support to cover the remaining two-thirds of estimated BC Hydro costs by establishing a local service area, and related local area service tax payable, for the Alta Vista neighbourhood.

  • That Council consider giving first, second, and third readings to “Housing Agreement Amendment Bylaw (Cheakamus Crossing Phase 2) No. 2332, 2021”.

  • That Council approve proposed modifications to Covenant BA311773 attached as Appendix A to this Administrative Report to Council No. 21-109; and

    That Council authorize the Mayor and Corporate Officer to execute the covenant modification.
